The Story
The meteoric rise of Architects continues with the exclusive Blood Records zoetrope reissue of their new studio album âthe classic symptoms of a broken spiritâ, hand-numbered on a first-come-first-served basis. âthe classic symptoms of a broken spiritâ will be the bandâs 10th studio album and is the follow-up to last yearâs critically acclaimed UK number 1 album "For Those That Wish To Exist".
The band barely had time to celebrate success when they began the process or writing the songs that make up the new record.Produced by Dan Searle and Josh Middleton, with additional production from Sam Carter at Deaconâs Middle Farm Studios and their own HQ, Electric Studios in Brighton. The band were buoyed by finally being back in the room together after their last album was made mostly remotely due to COVID restrictions, the result was something altogether more âfree, playful and spontaneousâ the bands drummer and songwriter Dan explains.
The album is a blast of energy with layers of electronic and industrial sounding moments that set the cinematic moodscape for the 11-track ride. There is more than a passing nod to the bandâs post-rock influences as well as now familiar fist pumping anthems such as âwhen we were youngâ, and new single âtear gasâ.âAnything is possible â wake up the unstoppable.â
