Baby Dave - aka SOFT PLAY (formally known as Slaves) frontman Isaac Holman - unveils the exclusive vinyl edition of his debut album Monkey Brain, pressed to grey marble LP, signed by Isaac and numbered to order. Released last year the album features contributions from Damon Albarn, and though sonically disparate to SOFT PLAY, listeners will recognise Holmanâs signature charisma and candidness permeating through the project.Â
The Monkey Brain album emerged in the wake of a particularly tough period of mental health for Isaac, in his words: âMonkey Brain is collection of tunes written from shortly after a debilitating mental breakdown at the start of 2019, up until now. Around half of the tunes on the record co-produced by Damon Albarn who also plays various instruments throughout. I donât know where this project would be if it wasnât for him and Iâm so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him and observe his wizardry."
